The students were brimming with stories to share today about their break activities. There were so many special memories made last week, and today the students published their stories for the class audience. They are growing as scholars each week. It is such a gift to be a part of their progress!

Happy Thanksgiving

Dear Room 5 Families,

     As this season of thankfulness and gratitude is upon us, I am compelled to share my deep gratitude for each of you and all of your support.

     It is a joy to spend my days with your children as they make discoveries, deep connections and grow in their social emotional development each and every day. They make me laugh with their pure and simple humor. They make me smile with their kindness and thoughtfulness for one another and for me. They make me proud of their perseverance in all things. They are stronger than they know, more creative that one could imagine and more independent than they were in August. They are beautiful people and I am grateful for each and every one of them.

     Enjoy your time with family and friends this Thanksgiving holiday!!

What a fantastic week of conferences! It was such a pleasure to meet with every family and share all of the wonderful learning that is happening in 1st grade.

What an amazing week!

Thank you to all of the families who celebrated with us at the Halloween Parade on Tuesday!

A special thank you to the parents that led Pumpkin Investigations with the students. All of the students loved exploring as Scientists and Mathematicians.

Thank you also the the parents that led our Halloween Rotations with the students. Everyone had a great day exploring and creating with the fun activities!

On Thursday we headed to Underwood Farms to learn about plants and their life cycles that we have been reading about. It was a fantastic day of hands-on learning as we harvested several different vegetables. I hope that you all enjoyed hearing about your student's experiences as you washed and shared the harvest.
A special thank you to our chaperones who took the time to help for the day!
